The Great Netfix: Finissage and launch of the VHS network

Join us for the The Great Netfix Finissage and launch of the VHS network, on 2nd July 2024, 6-8pm, at Borough Road Gallery / Centre for the Study of the Networked Image, London South Bank University.

In the mood for goofy, quirky or swoonworthy? At this concluding event of The Great Netfix, you can become the caretaker of one of the mood categorised data packages produced during the run of the exhibition. The evening will begin with a talk by A Video Store After the End of the World (Linda Hilfling Ritasdatter & Kristoffer Gansing), discussing the project’s wider implications for material speculation on future media infrastructures. This is followed by the launch of The Great Netfix network, which results from the month-long process of reverse-extracting media from a streaming platform to VHS tapes.

The Great Netfix is a project by A Video Store After the End of the World and runs until 3 July. Read more about it here.
