Developed between 2024 and 2025 by Sophie Mellor and Simon Poulter, working as Close and Remote, the film was made with the support of 70 collaborators brought together via Instagram (@markfisherfilm). Produced with no budget, no studio backing and no institutional permissions, We Are Making a Film About Mark Fisher is an experiment in decapitalised cultural production.
